one of my favorite things to do is to stop into one of laguna’s most beautiful and cosmopolitan shops, Ligne Blanche, and practice my french lessons with owner and French designer Sandrine Guibert (she’s always extremely gracious with my pitiful accent). Ligne Blanche started with two other stores on the East coast (New York City and East Hampton) but Sandrine fell in love with laguna and its views of the ocean, and with lots of requests coming in from her california customers decided that laguna would be ligne blanche’s west coast launching pad. and it’s the perfect fit — beachy but with a modern, fresh twist. All of their original and very french home collections are fashioned from the colorfully striped Les Toules du Soleil handmade fabric imported directly from France, and from it, Ligne Blanche has created a line of cotton table linens, napkins, dish towels, and aprons, as well as tote bags, cosmetic cases, pillows, poufs, beach chairs — all made locally. and they also carry some wonderfully unique products from other designers including lovely caftans, ceramics, apothecary, gifts, and jewelry (all of which i’ve scooped up for myself). Ligne Blanche’s website is in the works, but should you see something you like in this post, do drop sandrine an email and follow along on instagram for more.
